Wasabi is a storage service provider based in the United States and the Netherlands. The company was founded in September 2015 and launched its cloud storage product in May 2017. On January 30, 2018, Wasabi was awarded the North American Technology Innovation Award 2017. In 2018, the company announced a storage system in cloud by satellite, collaborating with SpaceBelt to use satellites as data centers. In 2019, the first European data center in the Netherlands was opened in Amsterdam.
